Had a quick little chase tonight. I got back from the OU Women's soccer game and saw a discrete supercell in the middle of a bunch of crap. It was tornado warned just sw of Chickasha. I wasn't completely confident that it would sustain itself amoungst the crap. It weakened during a cycling phase and started to intensfy again and developed another hook. I decided to pursue it now being it was only 30 minutes away. Here is a radar capture just before I left.



I intercepted the storm about 10 miles ne of chickasha. The storm was not organized at this point, I had trouble locating the updraft. I finally located it and it had a crappy wall cloud on it. I did not have a good visual on it because of the hilly terrain around there. So I turned around and drove to just ne of Blanchard and at this point the storm was totally crap! So I bagged the chase. I decided to bring the wife and dog along with me for this chase. So the curse of Hannah killed the storm again!! Here are a couple of pics of them killing that poor defenseless supercell!
